New Buyer Announced for Oban Marina
We are pleased to announce that Oban Marina has been purchased by new owners with effect from 9 February 2012. The newly formed Oban Marina & Yacht Services Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of The North Ledaig Co Ltd. Sue Deacon who has managed the marina, with a staff of seven for 5 years, will continue in the role of Director of Operations, but the new Directors make it very much a family concern: Peter Weir - Chairman/Managing Director, wife Katy - Company Secretary/Director and son Tim as Development Director. Malts Cruise returns
Oban Marina looks forward to welcoming crews taking part in World Cruising Club's Malts Cruise which starts from Oban on 7th July, will begin with a traditional ceilidh and parade of sail, before the fleet heads up the Sound of Mull to Tobermory, to begin cruising the Small Isles. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience traditional Scottish hospitality, local specialities like delicious seafood and smoky single malt whisky, and to have a great time with fellow cruisers.
