Oban Marina or Kerrera Island Marina?

Back in the day we were the only pontoon berthing in Oban. Except we were not in Oban. Now, of course, we’re still not in Oban but we are no longer the only choice for pontoon berthing in the bay. So where is Oban Marina and Where is it going? These are our priorities for 2019-2010:

Improving Environmental Management

Drinking water, general waste, recyclable materials (glass, cardboard, tins, plastics) oil and fuels, food, food waste, safe water supply and even sewerage are all things the marina has to manage. Find out what we do and how we plan to improve here.

Transport and Logistic Management

Post, products, consumables, island residents, visitors, berth holders, staff and all manner of other things are mostly brought to, and removed from, the island by transport that we provide or arrange. Find out how we manage to do this whilst also running a marina.

The Best Small Island Experience?

Island life is fragile at best. How many islands are thriving, despite public funding and the work of trusts and community groups? Where do we see the future, against the background of with increasing costs, Brexit, publicly funded competition in the marine tourism sector, the red / white diesel debacle and the oh-so-short summer season?
